Rogério Ribeiro

Senior Researcher

Rogério Ribeiro is a Senior Researcher at APDP – Portuguese Diabetes Association, and an invited Assistant Professor at the Department of Medical Sciences, University of Aveiro. He holds a degree in Biology, from the Faculty of Sciences, University of Lisbon, and a PhD in Biomedicine, from the Faculty of Medical Sciences, NOVA University of Lisbon.

Since 1999, Rogério pursues research in the field of diabetes, first in basic research, and currently in clinical studies and implementation research of healthcare, namely the betterment of pathways for diabetes prevention and management. He has participated in several national and European research projects in these areas, more recently the Joint Action CHRODIS PLUS and the ProEMPOWER European project. He has published around 40 peer-reviewed papers, and participated in outreach activities aimed at patients and the general population.
