Roberta Martina Zagarella

Post-doc researcher

After gaining a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Philosophy, Roberta Martina Zagarella received her PhD in “Philosophy of Language, Mind and Education Processes” and in “Langues et Lettres” under joint supervision from both the Università degli Studi di Palermo (Italy) and the Université libre de Bruxelles (Belgium).

In 2015, she joined the ITB-CNR as a research fellow. She is part of the CNR Interdepartmental Center for Research Ethics and Integrity since its institution in 2020. She is member of the Technical and Scientific Secretariat of the CNR Research Ethics and Integrity Committee, with with the additional role of Head of the Scientific Secretariat of the Ethical Clearance Sub-committee. She is also Managing Editor of the scientific journal “The Future of Science and Ethics”, published by the Fondazione Umberto Veronesi Ethics Committee, and Co-director of the “Medical Humanities Lab” at the Università degli Studi di Palermo.

Her research activities at the Center concern argumentation theory and rhetoric, with a particular focus on the biomedical issues.
