Ivone Ferreira

Assistant professor

Ivone Ferreira is Assistant Professor at Communication Sciences Department of NOVA-FCSH and researcher within the “Strategic Communication and Decision Making Processes” Research Group of ICNOVA. She hold a PhD in Communication Sciences (2012) with a thesis on the persuasive language of advertising in television. She teaches and researches in the areas of advertising, public campaigns and public relations.

She is also the director of the digital journal Rhetorikê. She is a reviewer in several national and international scientific journals. In 2019 she was Guest Editor of Media & Jornalismo. She coordinates the Working Group on Advertising of SOPCOM (2019-2021). She organized the 1st International Advertising Meeting at NOVA-FCSH, in February 2020, with participants from Brazil, Spain and Portugal.

Between 2014 and 2016, she coordinated the bachelor in Social Communication at the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu (Portugal).
